Description
This course is to provide participants with a thorough understanding of root cause analysis (RCA) to know the importance of RCA, and to be able to perform RCA competently.

Key learning objectives
At the end of the course, participants will be able to:
- Define root cause analysis (RCA)
- Understand difference between symptoms and RCA
- Understand the role and importance of RCA in compliance with the BRCGS Standards
- Explore some common methods for undertaking RCA
- Be able to perform a RCA and document it effectively.
Who should attend:
Operational, quality and technical staff responsible for participating in root cause analysis and the corrective and preventive action process.
Hardware requirements
- Laptop or a desktop computer
- Microphone / Headset: You will need a microphone for audio chat. It is recommended to use a headset (with microphone attached) for better sound quality and minimize the background noise
- Webcam: Your instructor may require you to start your video during the training session
Software requirements
- The virtual classrooms will be conducted through the Zoom software application, which allows you to join the training session through your web browser, however, for the best user experience, please download and install the Zoom desktop application to benefit from all the functionalities.
- Stable Internet connection: Please make sure you have a stable Internet connection.
- Test your audio and video settings: It’s a good idea to test your headset, video and microphone before joining the training.
Note: There is a cancellation fee of $150 for registrants who cancel within 14 days of the course start date.
